Mob Driver

Albert Brooks will play the villain in the thriller "Drive says Deadline.

An adaptation of James Sallis' novel, Ryan Gosling plays a Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver for thieves. When a bank heist goes wrong, he ends up on the run with a contract on his head and an ex-con’s girlfriend (The recently cast Carey Mulligan) in his car.

Brooks will play Bernie Rose, a New York mobster who has moved to L.A. and is not to be messed with.

Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has been cast.

Hossein Amini penned the adaptation from which Nicolas Winding Refn's gonna direct

Brooks not known for Bad Guy Roles--could be fun

Filming begins September 20th.
