The Piranha 3D panel was pulled from the Friday morning schedule say the folks at HitFix.
Part of the reason was that the footage to be screened from the film was too graphic to screen. Comic-Con's director of marketing and public relations, Daniel Glanzer, says "my understanding is that the footage wasn't all ages appropriate. We don't check ID to get into those meeting rooms, so we don't want something inappropriate."
The studio could have preceded without any footage or resubmitted new footage, however they chose to cancel the push.
This is probably better for the film-creates more buzz and curiosity without the public seeing any more footage. "Too Gory For Comic Con" could and should be used to market the film....
