It seems Sandra Bullock has begun negotiations to star in Alfonso Cuaron's hard to cast sci-fi epic Gravity. says The Hollywood Reporter.
Set during an orbital repair mission, the story follows a female astronaut who must survive a solitary ordeal after an exploded satellite wipes out the rest of the crew.
Robert Downey Jr also stars.
Cuaron will direct and co-wrote the script with his son Jonás
Angelina Jolie passed twice on the project, Bullock's name emerged as the candidate the studio wanted for the lead character.
Cuaron wanted Natalie Portman who had considered the project and had begun "active negotiations" early last week.
The talks didn't work out and Portman has officially passed on the project, leading to the studio quickly pushing Bullock back into orbit
Marion Cotillard, Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively have also been linked to the part
The studio wants to get moving on the project in order to fill a gap in Downey's crowded schedule.
Is anyone else getting space sick with all of the back and forth on this?
