The film will be will be a fictional story that uses the music of the band weaved into the narrative.

Susannah Grant ("Erin Brockovich") will write the script.
Actor John Stamos who has played drums with the band in the past, will produce the pic along with Craig Zadan and Neil Meron
Stamos previously starred in Meron and Zadan (Hairspray)'s movie "The Beach Boys: An American Family," back in 2000.
