As "The Exorcist" hits Blu-ray author William Peter Blatty and director William Friedkin may reunite for an adaptation of Blatty's recent tome "Dimiter" reports Shock Till You Drop.
The pic would be a psychological thriller with supernatural undertones set mostly in Jerusalem in the early 70's.
The book sees Paul Dimiter, a spy and possible suspect in Ho Chi Minh's death a few years earlier. After escaping torture in Albania, he flees to the Holy City. Soon after comes strange events which he seems to be involved in.
Blatty says Friedkin is "eager" to get going on the project, but has previously talked about Friedkin's future plans on several occasions, plans which don't end up happening.
