The family drama is set in small-town America at the start of WWII and follows an eight-year-old boy (Jakob Salvati) with developmental problems whose father goes away to the war and he's left to confront the cruelty of schoolmates and others.
Salvati won a nationwide casting search to play the boy
Filming begins late August in Baja, California.
