Bogdanovich Takes Part In The Healer

Famed director/actor Peter Bogdanovich joins the cast of Giorgio Serafini's supernatural thriller "The Healer" says THR.

The pic follows twin teens (Joel Courtney and Isabelle Fuhrman) who go on a camping trip with their ailing father (James Le Gros) only to become lost in a haunted forest.  Natalia Dyer was just cast as a mysterious being sent to protect Courtney's character from the various creatures that are out to destroy him.

Bogdanovich will play the role of a mysterious character inspired by Charon , the ferryman in Greek mythology who carries souls across the River Styx

Serafini wrote the script and will call action.

Giuseppe Pedersoli and Susan Johnson are producing.

Production starts next week in North Carolina.
