David Levien and Brian Koppelman have been hired to write a big screen adaptation of classic TV series "The Rockford Files" says Deadline.
The show ran from Sept. 10, 1974 through Jan. 10, 1980 and was created by Stephen J.Cannell and Roy Huggins James Garner starred as an ex-con who became a disheveled but charming private eye in Los Angeles with a knack for solving cold cases living out of a mobile home in Malibu.
The film is being developed as a vehicle for Vince Vaughn to both star in and produce. Victoria Vaughn will also produce the picture.
