Glee's Grant Gustin is making the big screen leap in the indie drama "Affluenza" ssys The Hollywood Reporter.
In the film Gustin plays a preppy jock who comes from a wealthy family. A turn of events during the financial crisis of 2008 forces him to face life in the real world.
Described as a modern version of author F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby, Kevin Asch is directing from a screenplay by Antonio Macia
Morris S. Levy and Asch will produce the film.
Shooting kicks off next week in New York
