Inbetweeners Come To The Big Screen In The U.S.A.

Paramount is planning a big-screen Americanized adaption of the acclaimed British sitcom "The Inbetweeners" says The Hollywood Reporter.

The show followed a quartet of suburban teens in school together at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive.

The studio has hired the co-creators of the show, Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, to pen the new version of the film, with Morris calling action as the director on the as yet untitled pic.

A 2011 film version of the original UK show became the top-grossing comedy in U.K. history last year.

The project is the third attempt to adapt the property in the USA following a failed 2008 ABC pilot and MTV's upcoming small screen incarnation which starts in August.
