Magic Mike 2 In The Works

Made on a $7 million budget--Steven Soderbergh’s male stripper flick Magic Mike has pulled in an impressive $77 million at the box office thus far since it opened 3 weeks ago.

With that it comes as no surprise that sequel chatter is afoot says Glamour Magazine.

The original is inspired by Channing Tatum's pre-Hollywood days as a male dancer--The biopic follows a newcomer to the world of exotic dancing (Alex Pettyfer) who is tempted by an older woman (Demi Moore) as well as bond with a mentor to the younger stripper--The titular Magic Mike (Tatum)

Tatum indicates a sequel is moving forward - "Yes, yes and yes! We're working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger."

Reid Carolin wrote the first screenplay.
