The story follows a sheriff (Kurt Russell), a gunslinger, a befuddled oldster (Richard Jenkins) and a cowboy (Peter Sarsgaard) as they attempt to rescue a group of captives (including Jennifer Carpenter) from a band of cannibalistic troglodytes.
Olyphant plays an eloquent sharpshooter who moved to the frontier in order to satisfy the dark impulses that lie beneath his polished exterior.

Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller are producing the film when shooting kicks off in the Spring in New Mexico.
