Who Will Play Depp's Wife In Pfister's "Transcendence"?

Rebecca Hall, Emily Blunt and Rooney Mara are all up for the role of Johnny Depp's wife in "The Dark Knight" cinematographer Wally Pfister's directorial debut "Transcendence" says Deadline.


In the Jack Paglen penned script Depp plays a scientist trying create the first self-aware computer. Somewhere along the way, he dies and his consciousness is uploaded into this supercomputer by his wife. Then that computer is connected to the internet.

Christian Bale, James McAvoy, Tobey Maguire, Noomi Rapace and Christoph Waltz are all circling the film.

Marisa Polvino, Kate Cohen, Annie Marter, David Valdes, Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove will produce.

Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are serving as executive producers.

Pfister has worked on seven of Nolan’s films since "Memento" including his Batman trilogy and "Inception" for which he won an Oscar.

Shooting kicks off in early March.
