Pace Auditions For "Guardians Of The Galaxy"

Lee Pace has confirmed to Collider that he will be auditioning on Monday for the role of Star-Lord in James Gunn's Marvel superhero movie "Guardians Of The Galaxy".


I'm very excited about it. The script is great...I have been [reading up on Star-Lord]. You want to know what you're doing. The character is a lot of fun. I hope it works out.

Star-Lord (aka. Peter Quill),is  an interplanetary policeman and the Guardians leader who is born of a human mother and alien father.

Marvel is also reportedly meeting with Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston Jim Sturgess , and Eddie Redmayne The studio is also said to be interested in Garrett Hedlund, James Marsden and Sullivan Stapleton.

No further deets on any of the other roles, concept art released in July indicated we can expect to see Drax the Destroyer, Groot, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora in the line-up.

The Guardians of the Galaxy comic book follows a US pilot who ends up in space during a universal conflict, then is forced to go on the run with a band of futuristic alien ex-cons.

Screenwriter Chris McCoy was recently hired to rewrite the Nicole Perlman’s original script.

The film arrives August 1, 2014
