Peterson Dumped From "The Good Dinosaur"?

Pixar Animation Studios and Disney animation chief John Lasseter has reportedly removed "The Good Dinosaur" director Bob Peterson from the film according to Blue Sky Disney.

The film puts forth that that the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs actually missed the planet, as a result they continue to evolve.

John Lithgow, Frances McDormand, Bill Hader, Neil Patrick Harris and Judy Greer will all lend their voices to the work, while Lucas Neff will voice the lead character of an Apatosaurus named Arlo.

Despite the departure, those involved are still attempting to meet its May 30th 2014 release date.

The studio hopes a new director will "be able to bring the project back in to better focus as the story wasn't coming together".
