Cassel Takes Over "Partisan" Lead

Vincent Cassel ("Trance," "Irreversible") will replace Oscar Isaac in the lead role of Ariel Kleiman's narrative feature length debut title "Partisan" says Screen Daily.

Cassel plays a charismatic and troubled man called Gregori, who has raised a communal family within the world of his lavish compound.  The film is told through the eyes of 11-year-old Alexander who starts to question Gregori’s deadly teachings.

Kleiman and Sarah Cyngler wrote the script.

Anna McLeish and Sarah Shaw ("Snowtown") will produce the film.

Production begins in Australia in October.
