Trier's "Louder Than Bombs" Shelved For Now

"Reprise" and "Oslo, August 31st" director Joachim Trier's first English-language feature film, "Louder Than Bombs," has been postponed indefinitely says Screen.

Norwegian based Motley Productions has seemingly failed to provide the financing for the $6.6 million Norwegian-Danish-French-us co-production.

Isabelle Huppert, Gabriel Byrne and Jesse Eisenberg were attached to star in the project which was to begin shooting around a month from now in the United States and Germany.

Trier co-wrote the script with his long-time collaborator Eskil Vogt.

Huppert would play a famous, late war photographer. On the eve of a retrospective of work, her husband (Byrne) and two sons (one played by Eisenberg) discover an unsettling secret from her past.

A statement from the parties involved states that they "are confident that the project will be realised in the near future”.
