The story follows a pair of teens (Mackenzie Davis and Nicholas Braun) and their pals who form an unlikely alliance with vampires and zombies in order to take on an alien army.
Vanessa Hudgens is still in talks play a popular teen, Denis Leary is set play one of the town's unfriendly but wealthy residents.
Chris Zylka Joan Cusack Keegan-Michael Key and Josh Fadem also star.
Robbie Pickering will call action using a Black List script penned by Oren Uziel. He was recently tapped by Sony Pictures to write "Men In Black 4."
Matt Tolmach will produce the film.
Production is underway in Los Angeles.
