Justin Timberlake has entered negotiations to produce the remake of "The Idolmaker" says The Wrap
The original ‘Idolmaker was helmed by Taylor Hackford in 1980 and starred Ray Sharkey. It told the story of rock promoter/producer as Vincent Vacari
Based on the life of Bob Marcucci. Marcucci. who died in 2011 at 81 discovered the likes of Frankie Avalon and Fabian
Timberlake currently has no plans to star in the new version, though that might change depending upon the script and director.
The project shares similar themes to JT's upcoming producing debut, a biopic about iconic 1970s music entrepreneur Neil Bogart called "Spinning Gold" which hopes to shoot next year.
A few years ago, Ryan Gosling was previously signed on to both star in and make his directorial debut on the remake but abruptly pulled out of doing it a few weeks later, due to a busy schedule.
