The story revolves around Harvard University-bound Danny (Graham Phillips) and his unambitious best friend Frank (Zack Pearlman) who decide to work as lifeguards during their summer before college.
Walsh and Gaffigan play Danny's parents.
Teen Beach Movie co-star John DeLuca will play Anthony Dibuono, a young, hunky Italian lifeguard whose dream of joining the Navy seems unlikely until he forms a partnership with Danny that proves beneficial for both parties Ashley Greene will play a member of the pool club and the daughter of an overly protected mobster.
Rhys Thomas is directing the film using a screenplay written by Saturday Night Live head writer Colin Jost.
Lorne Michaels will produce the film.
Production is slated to begin later this week in New York.
