Paul, Weaver And Turturro Join Scott's "Exodus"

Variety reports that Breaking Bad co-star Aaron Paul Sigourney Weaver and John Turturro are poised to join director Ridley Scott‘s upcoming biblical feature "Exodus".

Joel Edgerton plays Ramesses in the film squaring off against Christian Bale as Moses in this famed take on the story of the prophet leading the children of Israel out of slavery in Egypt.

Paul will play the Hebrew slave Joshua who goes on to lead the people onto the promised land after Moses. Weaver and Turturro will portray the parents of the pharoah Ramses.

Bill Collage and Adam Cooper penned the early script that Steve Zaillian reworked.

Peter Chernin Zaillian and Garrett Basch will produce the film.

Production is planned for a September start in England, Spain and Morocco.

Fox decided to move forward on the film after another biblical epic "Gods and Kings" fell apart after Steven Spielberg left the pic earlier this year. At one point Ang Lee looked likely to take over that pic but has seemingly moved on.
