In the film Aaron Eckhart will play an unconventional exorcist who can tap into the subconscious of the possessed. He soon meets his match when a nine-year-old boy is possessed by a demon from his past.
Dawson jumped out of the project due to scheduling issues.
Moreno is best known for her role in 2004's Maria Full of Grace. Her performance earned an Oscar nomination.
Brad Peyton directs from a script by Ronnie Christensen.
Jason Blum is producing the film.
Production begins in November in Los Angeles.
