Raza Mallal wrote the script and will direct the true story about a renegade Moscow detective (John Cusack) investigating the murder of a female war journalist who becomes embroiled in a web of counter espionage involving chemical warfare and the assassination of the Russian president.
Sean Young, Karen David, Sean Astin, Mischa Barton, Michael Biehn, Tom Sizemore Stelio Savante John Hannah and Tamer Hassan also star.
The film marks the on-screen reunion of Hauer and Young since they starred together in Blade Runner in 1982.
Mallal and Kevan Van Thompson will produce.
Production begins this March in Prague and London.
