Wayne Kramer Charts "Caught Stealing"

Wayne Kramer ("The Cooler," "Running Scared") will direct "Caught Stealing" says Screen. Stefan Ruzowitzky ("Deadfall," "The Counterfeiters") had been circling the big chair but never sat down.

Based on author Charlie Huston's novel, the first in the Hank Thompson trilogy, follows a former baseball prospect (Patrick Wilson) who become a bartender living a ho hum life He soon finds himself caught up in a bloody treasure hunt through New York City.

Alec Baldwin co-stars.

David Hayter wrote adapted the script.

Wilson, Marcus Chait, and James Carpinello will produce the film.

The project will make the rounds at the 2013 American Film Market event in LA
