Bradley Cooper stars as a defense contractor overseeing a weapons satellite launch from Hawaii. He teams up with (and falls for) an Air Force pilot (Emma Stone) to scuttle the launch.
Jay Baruchel would play the stepbrother of Cooper's. Rachel McAdams also stars as Cooper's ex-wife. Danny McBride's role is a secret. Edi Gathegi Bill Murray and Alec Baldwin co-star.
Krasinski will play a military man and new husband to McAdams.
Mystical island forces and a talking computer also play a part in the story.
Crowe wrote and will direct the film.
Scott Rudin is producing the film with Crowe.
