Variety reports that Baltasar Kormákur's set to write and direct the crime thriller "On the Job".
The story follows the real-life scandal where prison inmates were temporarily released to work as contract killers on behalf of politicians and high ranking military officials.
The film is partly inspired by Erik Matti's 2013 Filipino film of the same name--but in fact, Kormakur had been developing a project based on the true events before 'Job' began production.
Kormakur, Scott Stuber, Nate Bolotin, Nick Spicer and Aram Tertzakian will produce.
