Written using the pseudonym Tom Johansson, the story follows a hit man who is asked by his boss to kill the man's wife. Trouble is, he falls in love with her.
DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Kevin McCormick will produce the film.
The book hits retail next spring, and is the first of a two-part story with the second book due out in 2015.
