Based on the the lead character in author Duncan Falconer's series--the first of eight novels called The Hostage, follows action from the borders of Kazakhstan and China, to mainland Europe and then London. The story focuses on John Stratton, a Special Boat Service operative who works with the intelligence services in Northern Ireland.
There’s no word on a writer or director yet.
Production company Promethean was created by Cavill, his brother Charlie Cavill and London-based producer Rex Glensy.
The project was originally optioned and developed by Ileen Maisel and Lawrence Elman who brought the project to Promethean.
Filming aims to begin in the Spring.
