Justin Long is not known for taking on dramatic roles--But now.. he's landed a big one.Long joins Robert Redford's historical drama, The Conspirator. says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows Confederate sympathizer Mary Surratt (Robin Wright Penn), who was tried as a conspirator in the Lincoln assassination, and Col. Frederick A. Aiken (James McAvoy), who reluctantly agreed to defend her before a military tribunal.
Long plays a soldier who lost a limb in the American Civil War and is McAvoy's best friend and conscience..
James Solomon wrote the script for the film.
Good for him...
Production kicks off in Georgia this month.
