Fallout Boy

Xavier Gens (pictured on the set of Hitman with Timothy Olyphant) is set to direct futuristic thriller "The Fallout" reports Variety.

Scripted by Karl Mueller and Eron Sheean, the story is set in a New York City apartment building that was converted to a fallout shelter in a post-apocalyptic world.

The project is not to be confused with the similarly-set popular video game series Fallout

The film is described as a mixture of Assault on Precinct 13 and Lord of the Flies.

Says producer Darryn Welch."With a collective of ‘End of the World’ movies hitting the theatres presently, this film will undoubtedly stand out like a ravenous Pit Bull in a school playground… brace yourselves cause this film has a serious bite to it!” .

Fellow film producer Ross Dinerstein has high praise for Gens, "Xavier’s vision for this film is extraordinary. He brings a visual edge to this fascinating exploration of the human condition"

Filming kicks off in February somewhere in Eastern Europe.
