Book Smarts

A trio of fresh book to film deals...

*There's a film adaptation of Pierdomenico Baccalario's "Century" book series says Variety.

The four-books chronicle the challenges of four teens and their families as they search for four ancient objects of power each connected to Fire earth, air and water.

The 35-year-old author also penned the international best-selling Ulysses Moore book series.

*The graphic novel mini-series "Frenemy of the State" is coming to the big screen says Variety.

The adventure revolves around a young wealthy heiress who works undercover for the Central Intelligence Agency.

Actress Rashida Jones created the work and will adapt the script with fellow actor Will McCormack.

*Producers Andrew Gunn and Mark Waters are developing the teen comedy "Freaky Monday" says Variety.

Based on the follow up book to "Freaky Friday" by authors Mary Rodgers & Heather Hach-the story centers on a smart but insecure girl who magically switches bodies with her sympathetic junior high English teacher for a day.
