Pelis Price War

Paranormal Activity taking number 1 at the box office from Halloween stalwart Saw VI this past weekend has Hollywod fighting over director Oren Peli's next film "Area 51" in a bidding war between no less than six studios and production companies says The New York Times.

Paramount Pictures, distributor of 'Paranormal', is shockingly not one of the companies. Bids for the pic have been in excess of $10 million - a huge jump on the mere $300,000 that Paramount paid for 'Paranormal'.

The $5 million-budgeted "51"is filming is in Utah meeting a 2010 bow.

Why wouldn't Paramount want a chance to repeat success?
