Pamela McClintock of Variety:
In one of the bigger surprises of the year, Paramount’s “Paranormal Activity” took down Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ “Saw VI” at the domestic box office, grossing an estimated $22 million from 1,945 theaters to easily win the weekend.
Exact numbers weren’t immediately available, but “Saw VI” grossed somewhere in the mid-teens as it launched in more than 3,000 theaters.
It is the first time the “Saw” franchise has been defeated...
