Talking to SciFi Wire actor Bill Nighy discussed Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' fate:
“I understand that there was an announcement that there was going to be a fourth, and now I've been told since that that was not a reliable announcement.”
Nighy--who plays squid-faced Davy Jones in the series says that producer Jerry Bruckheimer isn't in any rush to get the fourth movie made. He added “Jerry at one point said we have to wait until the world is pirate-hungry again.”
Star Johnny Depp's participation is in doubt though after studio chairman Richard Cook left his position at Disney...
There's enough buzz for the 4th pic--I just think Depp's recent position put the studio and Bruckheimer in a bit of a spot--Without Depp there is no sequel...
