Actor Steve Carell is set to produce (and star in?) the golf comedy "Missing Links" says Risky Biz Blog.Based on Rick Reilly's book, the story follows four buddies who are sick of golfing at a shoddy run-down Boston public course and hatch a series of schemes to try and golf at a high-class country club nearby.
Jay Lavender, who wrote The Break-Up, will pen the script.
Bobby Cohen, Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock will co-produce.
I betcha the film will not be as funny as the GREATEST FILM ABOUT GOLF CADDYSHACK...or even the second greatest Happy Gilmore....
