Ridley Scott is ready to take on his 3-D "Alien" Prequel #1 and Prequel #2 as his next pics. He tells The Independent that he expects the story to be quite unsettling
"[Part 1] will be really tough, really nasty. It's the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?" says Scott.
The first prequel's script set three decades before the events of the 1979 film.
Scott pokes at "Aliens" director James Cameron, a bit over the success he had with the first sequel--seeing it as a challenge he has to match with these films - "Jim's raised the bar and I've got to jump to it."
Meanwhile, Digital Spy reports that English actress Gemma Arterton has said she'll meet with Scott about possibly starring in the prequels.
Scott was impressed with her work in recent British thriller "The Disappearance of Alice Creed " and he wants to meet with her for the female lead
