Natalie Portman was at one time "in active negotiations" to join Alfonso Cuaron's sci-fi epic Gravity. And then she was not...Well now she just might star in the film after all--reports Heat Vision.
Set during an orbital repair mission, the story follows a female astronaut who must survive a solitary ordeal after an exploded satellite wipes out the rest of the crew.
Robert Downey Jr also stars.
Cuaron will direct and co-wrote the script with his son Jonás
The lead role has been highly sought after as it's a high-profile role that dominates the screen for much of it (similar to "Cast Away" with Tom Hanks.).
Angelina Jolie has been linked but ultimately dropped out of the pic.
