Super Study

Making the rounds promoting Friday's Sucker Punch-which looks quite good by the way-director Zack Snyder addresses some of the chatter surrounding 2012's Superman: Man of Steel to IGN

Meanwhile EW's Jeff Jensen plays What If...over the new film and what should be done with the character...

You know I contend the character does not need fixing in order to be a success on the big screen--The fact that Supes has been around as long as he has means he's RELEVANT today. He's a product of the time in which he is in at the moment--The mythos is timeless...but going through countless permutations over the years

Just cause you want to act as if the other films didn't happen doesn't mean you need to start completely from scratch either....

As I have said before the only carry over from the previous pics that I would want is John Williams' Supes Theme--which identifies the Man Of Steel like no other--But I know that won't happen...

Henry Cavill Kevin Costner and Diane Lane star

David S. Goyer is writing the screenplay based on a story by Goyer and Christopher Nolan

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Nolan and Deborah Snyder are producers on the film

Production will start in Vancouver in May
