Betty Thomas Likely to Direct “Desperados”

Isla Fisher has the lead in Desperados, which will essentially be to women what The Hangover is to men, and it now takes one step closer to getting filmed. According to The Los Angeles Times., it looks like Betty Thomas will direct the film.

She has a less than impressive resume of films, including the Dr. Dolittle remake and failed Howard Stern vehicle Private Parts. However, it might be a more fortunate situation than it seems. After all, Todd Phillips, director of The Hangover, has School for Scoundrels and Starsky and Hutch to his name.

Still, the film needs to pick up two more female leads before production gets rolling. Do we have any thoughts/suggestions as to who the two might be?
