A new and really ROCKIN' trailer for June 3rd's X-Men First Class has dropped.
The prequel tells of the early days of James McAvoy as Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr and how they ended up on opposing sides
Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, and Morgan Lily co star.
"First Class" is directed by Matthew Vaughn
Producer Bryan Singer says a sequel could skip ahead in time. He told Total Film “That’s an idea that’s been discussed, how the characters go through time. But only to a point – they can’t age too fast!”
Vaughn sounds more keen on keeping to the 60's - “1962 is far more grounded in the world of the ’50s. I think it takes about five years for a decade to really start getting its identity, so the fun thing about this for me would be doing [a sequel] in the latter part of the decade, where you’ve got ...Flower Power…”
Vaughn also sounds like he'd be up for doing a sequel, comparing this film to Christopher Nolan's first Bat film.
“‘First Class’ is similar to ‘Batman Begins ’ where you have the fun of introducing the characters and getting to know them, but that takes time. But with the second one you can just get on with it and have a rollicking good time. That’s the main difference between ‘Begins’ and ‘The Dark Knight’".
