The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog relays that Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus, who co-wrote the script to Marvel’s 2008 smash Iron Man, will pen the script for GK’s Tomb Raider reboot.
The duo also earned an Oscar nomination for writing Alfonso Cuaron’s Children of Men.
The new film will ignore the previous films from Paramount. In a press release, the scribes say the plan to create an "origin story for Lara Croft that solidifies her place alongside Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor in the pantheon of great female action heroes."
