Courtney Is Willis' Son In Die Hard 5

Aussie actor Jai Courtney, best known for playing Varro on the cable series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, will play Jack McClane, son of Bruce Willis’ famous action hero John McClane in the sequel A Good Day To Die Hard according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The studio suits were keen on Paul Walker but Courtney ultimately beat out Liam Hemsworth Aaron Paul James Badge Dale Paul Dano, Milo Ventimiglia and D.J. Cotrona for Jack

It's thought that the role could end up being the lead character in future sequels

The script by Skip Woods is said to take place primarily in Russia, where the elder McClane  must reescue his son taking out terrorists at every turn.

John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Max Payne) will call action the film starting next month for a release on February 14th 2013
