Banderas Stars In A Portrait Of Picasso

Antonio Banderas will play artist Pablo Picasso in Carlos Saura's low budget biopic "33 dias" (33 Days) says Variety.

The story refers to the emotionally turbulent time Picasso spent on "Guernica", his famed mural showing the destruction of Basque town of Guernica in 1937 by the Nazi Luftwaffe during the Spanish Civil War.

Saura and Elías Querejeta wrote the script with French writer Louis-Charles Sirjacq.

The French and Spanish language-production will shoot next summer in Paris and Guernica.
