Miller Finds Bovary Fetching

Ezra Miller will play Mia Wasikowska's love interest Leon in this new adaptation of  Gustave Flaubert's classic 1856 novel "Madame Bovary" says Variety.



Wasikowska will play Emma Bovary, the beautiful wife of a small-town doctor who she married to escape her father's pig farm. She constantly tries to climb the social ladder by engaging in extra-marital affairs.

Paul Giamatti is set to play Monsieur Homais, the town apothecary who is a close confidant of her husband Charles.

The film is a faithful period piece but is said to emphasise the more youthful and contemporary themes.

Sophie Barthes ("Cold Souls") will direct from a screenplay by Rose Barreneche.

Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino will produce
