"Wet Hot American Summer" director David Wain will reunite with two of that film's stars, Paul Rudd and Amy
Poehler, on the rom-com parody "They Came Together" reports Variety.
Rudd plays a big corporation exec who clashes with Poehler's quirky knick-knack store owner whom his company plans to shut down. That fiery relationship becomes a passionate on-again/off-again love affair.
The film sends standard rom-com staples like jealous exes, wise animals, co-workers who are A-holes, scary in-laws and long beauty shots of New York City.
Wain and Michael Showalter wrote the script years ago with the latter set to produce.
Production begins in July.
