Fanning Swims In "Olive's Ocean"

Elle Fanning (Super 8) will star in the film adaptation of author Kevin Henkes' young adult novel "Olive's Ocean" says Deadline.

Fanning will play a teen who goes on a summer of soul searching after discovering that a classmate who recently died in a tragic accident had secretly hoped to become her friend.

Christina Hammonds-Reed is adapting the script

Donald Rosenfeld, Andreas Roald and Celestia Fox will produce the pic.
