Gale Gets Swept Onto Fury Road

She missed out on the chance to play Wonder Woman in George Miller's aborted Justice League: Mortal film, but model/actress Megan Gale will be seen in his "Mad Max: Fury Road"--the reboot of the Mad Max franchise says The Herald Sun.

The plot sees Max get caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.

Gale has won a secret role and joins a growing list of Australian actors in supporting roles including John Howard, Angus Sampson and Gillian Jones.

TV legend Bert Newton was to play a role but pulled out when filming shifted from Australia to Africa.

Tom Hardy will star as post-apocalyptic drifter Max Rockatansky made famous first by Mel Gibson.

Nicholas Hoult, Riley Keough, Charlize Theron Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Adelaide Clemens also star. Aussie Supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw will make her acting debut in the pic.

After a series of financial and weather related delays production is finally underway filming in Namibia.
