Joy Bryant will play the female lead in the the remake of the 1986 rom-com About Last Night says Deadline.
The original film , directed by Edward Zwick, starred Demi Moore and Rob Lowe. It was based on David Mamet's play “Sexual Perversity in Chicago,” and tracked the up-and-down relationship of a couple through their first year together.
The new film will actually be closer in spirit to said stage production than the 80's movie was, even though the location for this film is being shifted to Los Angeles.
Michael Ealy Regina Hall and comedian Kevin Hart are poised to star.
Leslye Headland (writer-director of the upcoming “Bachelorette”) is penning the new adapted script from which Steve Pink will direct
Will Gluck is producing.
