Tom Hardy and Michael Shannon will star in a film adaptation of "Hung" writer/producer Brett C. Leonard's play "The Long Red Road" says Variety.
Hardy plays Sam, an alcoholic living on a South Dakota Indian reservation. When a visitor from his past arrives, Sam has to take a hard look at the life he left behind.
Shannon is set to play Sam's older brother. Hardy played the role in the 2010 Chicago stage production of the work which was directed by actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. No word if Hoffman will direct this film adaptation.
Paul Neesan and Richard Fant will produce the film.
