Focus Charts A "Circle Of Treason"

Focus Features and Josephson Entertainment have acquired the film rights to authors Sandra Grimes & Jeanne Vertefeuille's  book "Circle Of Treason" to be adapted as a dramatic thriller says Deadline.

Set in the late 80s and early 90s, the story deals with authors - then Central Intelligence agents - who became convinced there was a mole in their midst as too many assets and agents were being killed or captured by the Soviets. So began a methodical hunt that brought down Aldrich Ames who had almost fled the country with millions of dollars by the time he got caught.

Anne Waterhouse and Joe Shrapnel will write the adapted script.

Barry Josephson is producing
